Auburn Aviation Partner’s With Community Colleges

Auburn University President Jay Gogue and Alabama Community College System Chancellor Mark Heinrich will sign a memorandum of understanding Thursday  to enhance aviation training and economic development opportunities around the state, according to a university release.

The collaboration will include aerospace engineering and aviation-related degree and certificate programs; flight education training; unmanned aircraft systems, or UAS, certification and licensing programs; and technical training such as airframe technology, avionics technology and power plant technology.

Timothy Boosinger, Auburn University Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Russ Rothamer, Alabama Community College System Chief Academic and Student Affairs Officer, will also be in attendance.
